Eye checkup
Had another appointment at Bankstown Hospital at 2.15pm today in the eye clinic, just as a follow-up check of how my eye was doing after the laser retinopexy.
The lovely Ophthalmologist, Daniel, seems to see no further issues, which is good.
When I come back to this post (who knows when... 3 years?), I can work out whether I DID go to work afterwards for a 4.13pm start, or whether I took the day off sick, and used a medical certificate from the hospital.
As I'm now writing this in late January of 2026, my memory is a bit hazy. I DO remember going to work with one heavily dilated pupil, and one normal pupil, and scaring some of my work colleagues. But can't remember whether it was today, or whether I had another follow-up in mid-January. My money is on the latter, but we shall see...
EDIT: Upon checking, I DID go sick today. I couldn't get a swap, and the appointment was pretty close to when I needed to be at work, and they can sometimes be busy. At least they issue me a sick certificate.
And yes - therefore it wasn't today that I turned up to work with crazy eyes! LOL
